Services

Our services cover Design, Print Production, Print Finishing, Fulfilment Management, Collation, Packing, Labelling, Distribution and Tracking service.

Placing an Order

You can order in one of two ways, you can call or email one of our sales team (info@pointmedia.uk.com), who will be more than happy to help you.

We offer a UK, Northern Ireland and Eire distribution and tracking service.

The completion time of your order consists of production and delivery time and varies depending on the product and quantity. We shall include “turnaround” time from approval of artwork to despatch from our premises, on your quote, and are termed “working days”.
The above mentioned working days are exclusive of Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays (Monday to Friday).

Artwork

We can print directly from most popular PC and Mac print-ready file formats

When we receive your artwork, our design team will check your files and let you know if they spot any issues.

For Artwork Requirements please see the above link at the top of the page*

When preparing your artwork to send to us, please always check the resolution of your print files.

Our high resolution printing processes requires images of around 300dpi (although for large format posters – A2 size and above – images of 100 dpi are usually adequate). Anything less may appear pixelated when printed. Documents to be large format, as created are scaled to the appropriate format. When the size of your document is smaller than that of the desired product, the resolution of the image data will be reduced.
Colour images should have a minimum of 225 dpi and 300 dpi at best.
PDF documents for good quality (image data should not fall below a resolution of 300 dpi).
A photograph or other pixel based image needs a resolution of 300 dpi to be printed.
Word or Powerpoint documents – please note that Microsoft Office brings high-resolution image data down to 200 dpi. Exceptions are files in EPS format.
Normally all popular image formats are fine, provided that the resolution is sufficient.

Optimal are graphics as vector-based EPS/AI/PDF files, because they can be scaled without loss. Otherwise, please use images in JPEG format with maximum quality and minimum compression.

In Office applications, please always use pictures in RGB colour mode, as CMYK images do not display colour correctly. This false representation is reflected in the print again.

Please check the resolution of your images carefully, simply because they look good on screen does not mean they will print properly!

If you are handy at creating artwork and are comfortable adding 3mm bleed and crop marks then that is great.

However it does depend on the design, especially the background. For example if the background is block/ solid colour, then adding bleed retrospectively is an easier process.

If all this sounds difficult and technical then don’t worry, our design team will take care of this for you (this will incur an additional charge).

All that we request is that you keep all the important elements of your design at least 5mm away from the edge of your artwork (our designers call this our “safe margin”).

Although we use state-of-the-art equipment, some movement is part of all print processes. If vital elements of your design are placed too close to the edge of the paper, not only will it look unprofessional, but there’s a chance they may get trimmed off.

Simply place all of your vital elements of your design inside the 5mm safe margin. That doesn’t mean you can’t extend a background image or colour to the very edge of your bleed. However, please don’t put your contact details along the very edge of the sheet. We don’t want to see your phone number end up on our cutting room floor.

Payment and Invoices

You can choose between the following payment methods – either bacs transfer or pre-payment by credit card, via a link in our proforma invoices, which we can e-mail, before payment.

Prepayment If you are paying by bacs transfer, our bank details are as follows: Account name: Pointmedia Creative Ltd.

Bank name: Barclays

Bank Sort code: 20-33-96

Note: Please be aware that we will not begin production until we have received the payment and the print-ready artwork. As we do not influence the posting systems and processing time of the banks this may take up to 2 working days (excluding Saturday, Sunday, and bank/public holidays).
In case of urgency please send your payment receipt to accounts@pointmedia.uk.com. Please note that production and delivery can only be made after investigation and approval of our service.
